Christina Bargelt began ballet at age 3 with the Academy of Classical Ballet in Lakewood, Colorado. Under the direction of Carla Parks, she danced solo and principal roles in the Nutcracker and the Sleeping Beauty. At age 16, Christina continued her training at Denver Dance Center under the direction of Kris Kehl and Jill Oliver where she danced the role of Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker twice. During her middle school and high school career, Christina competed in both the Denver Ballet Guild and Youth America Grand Prix. Currently, Christina is pursuing her degree in Ballet with an emphasis in pedagogy at the University of Utah where she has danced in Hansel and Gretel, Swan Lake, and several student pieces.
